Thanks, Tenaya. I’m writing about the trauma of loss and the loss of trauma right now — as a way of trying to frame these very same issues. I’m not sure what the answers are for healing; I suspect they are different for each of us. But I am sure that they include awareness, presence, and love. That some times feels like all I can do in the face of trauma: be aware, maintain presence, and find/create/channel love. But boy, it’s not easy.
