I feel your viewpoint as great wisdom, hidden as it were below the surface of the disruption of our lives that we are feeling in the current situation in our country – like the huge iceberg below the surface of the ocean, while we are seeing only the tip. It may even facilitate my speaking with my conservative, loving relatives who incomprehension-ably voted for our current president. What were they feeling? What was their grief? Was it a deep fear that the progressive policies of the previous administration were threatening their beliefs in “the sacredness of human life” (as in “pro-life”)? Deep fear that to offer LGBTQ persons a new level of justice and equality went against “Biblical teachings” as they understand it?? I too have read so many explanations and thoughts on-line – and yours gives a deeper perspective and wisdom for me to contemplate! Thanks – Kathy
